Fangfic Finale

Lei Fang lay on the rug with her hands clasped behind her head and stared at the ceiling. She breathed deeply and tried to relax her mind, in an attempt to keep from becoming upset that she hadn't heard from Jann-Lee for three weeks. She had harboured many doubts, being especially unsure as to whether he could break his ties with Mai-Lei, his childhood sweetheart.
There also seemed uncertainty regarding Jann-Lee's true intentions in their relationship.
He had given her brief flashes of hope that there would be a future for the two of them together; only to appear to 'go cold' on the idea, leaving her to trust her instinct as to his sincerity.
"OK," she thought, "perhaps Jann-Lee has decided that Mai-Lei has done nothing wrong and should not be passed over for me. I can handle that! Life goes on! The sun comes up tomorrow to a new day and I, Lei Fang, shall be a stronger person for the experience."
She became aware of a soft knock at the door and grumbled at having to put on her negligee and slippers to answer it.
To her surprise, Jann-Lee was there. He gulped, as he asked Lei Fang if he might come inside. She decided to allow him in, more out of curiosity than anything else.
Lei Fang could sense that Jann-Lee was a little shaky as he spoke, "I'm most terribly sorry, Lei Fang, that I haven't contacted you lately, but it has been a difficult time for me."
"It has been a difficult time for me also," replied Lei Fang, in an air of expectancy; waiting for the brush-off that now seemed inevitable.
"Lei Fang, you know that I have been to see Mai-Lei?" Jann-Lee asked.
"Yes," replied Lei Fang.
"She is such a wonderful girl," said Jann-Lee, "so thoughtful; so understanding; so unselfish."
Lei Fang said nothing, but tried to steel herself for what was to come.
"Well, I explained the situation to her," Jann-Lee went on, "and she said that she only wanted what would make me happy."
Jann-Lee reached out and placed his hand on Lei Fang's chin; lifting her head so that their eyes met. "I'm not sure if I am doing the right thing," he sighed, "but I want you so much, Lei Fang."
"But what of Mai-Lei?" Lei Fang looking surprised.
"Mai-Lei will survive. Someday she will make someone a wonderful wife," observed Jann-Lee, "but not me."
"Jann-Lee, my heart has been low these past weeks, "Lei Fang murmured. "I despair that we shall never be together; I shall remain unfulfilled."
"Lei Fang, I know I have been a disappointment to you," confessed Jann-Lee, "but I will make this up to you. I yearn for you; my soul cries out for you."
"Then know this," whispered Lei Fang. "I am torn apart by the incredible longing in my spirit. I now feel 'ill at ease' that you shall again leave me without an attempt to extinguish the fire burning within me."
Jann-Lee looked nervous as he spoke, "Please give me one more chance, Lei Fang; one more chance."
He clasped her tightly. She kissed his neck; then his lips. The negligee slipped from her shoulders, as they reclined on the lush rug.
Jann-Lee endeavoured to remain calm, as he caressed Lei Fang; but the excitement pushed his senses to an almost uncontrollable state.
Tears of intensity formed in Jann-Lee's eyes. His incredible strength had taken him through many contests, but now he had to blend it with gentleness, as well. It became too extreme.
"I can't go on ," lamented Jann-Lee.
"You must," pleaded Lei Fang.
Their kisses were fervent, as their desire could not be suppressed. Lei Fang whispered words of encouragement; trying desperately to keep Jann-Lee from breaking down. Her inner being delighted in the eagerness of Jann-Lee's lunges.
All at once, the emotions became extreme; almost to a fever pitch. Jann-Lee gave out his familiar cry as his passion overflowed.
Lei Fang ran her fingers through his hair and her beaming eyes looked upwards.
The storm was calmed. The tempest had been quelled. The longing had been answered.
She was complete.
